Bitterness, resentment and anger act as festering thorns in our souls. Forgiveness allows us to heal and move forward and release pain that only serves to eat away our happiness and destroy our relationships. Forgiveness lets us escape the chains of the past and live more freely in the present.

The Truth is
The truth is, unless you let go, unless you forgive yourself, unless you forgive the situation, unless you realize that the situation is over, you cannot move forward.

I don’t think we will ever fully comprehend the impact someone will have on our lives until they are gone. It has been said that no one really hears your voice until you no longer have one. Many artists don’t sell their masterpieces until after they have passed away;...

My Consistent Choice

I’ve learned that forgiveness is a choice. Sometimes that choice needs to be made over and over and over again but it is possible to forgive if we decide we want to let the pain of holding on go.

Forgiveness has helped me to move forward.

I have had lots of regret and guilt. My husband took his own life. I wonder if I could have done more, if I should have loved him more, etc. I have had to literally turn it over to our Heavenly Father and rely on Christ’s atonement. That’s the only thing I can do. For the most part, it’s no longer my burden. I have also sought and am working on forgiveness. Forgiving has helped me move forward. I have reached a point in this process where I want to remarry at some point. I want to get it right this time.
