Our Grief Program

We welcome you to our site and invite you to join our community and participate in our interactive approach to help you move through grief, actively heal, and then begin to move forward.  We want you to know that you are not alone in the things that you are feeling and experiencing. We and others have walked this path and recorded the things that we have learned in the process.  These are the things that have worked for us and have accelerated our healing.

Alone we may feel weak, but together we can support and lift each other. We invite you to join us on this journey of hope, healing and becoming

FAQ about our Grief Program

Where do I start?

Check out our self assessment to help you determine where to begin.

Learn more about where you are and areas that you can focus on that will help you cope, come to greater understanding, and feel peace as you move forward.  You can follow our recommended order, or you can read through the subheadings and determine which areas you feel will be the most helpful to you. You control your own learning.

Self Assessment

How does the program work?

We have created specific action pages for each badge

These center on specific practices to help you manage your grief, help you heal, and find new purpose as you move forward. No matter what phase you are in, we have support materials to guide you on your path. Each badge will invite you to LEARN, ACT and then SHARE your experiences. This three fold process helps you internalize the things you learn and grow through this experience to become someone stronger and better equipped to deal with your future.

How much time do I need to devote to this?

You will emotionally be better able to consistently handle your life if you devote sometime to study everyday.

You set the pace of your own healing and growth. You can go as fast or as slow as you desire. However, You will benefit from time for daily quiet introspection. It may be helpful to schedule a specific time everyday. Finding time may require that you turn off the radio in the car, watch less television or spend less time surfing the internet. Initially you may struggle to find time, but as you create this habit, you will find that you will desire and crave the empowerment and strength that you will derive from dedicated study and practice. As you find it helping, you may even gradually increase the time you allot for this practice.

How will working on badges help me ?

The more we actively do, the more we learn.

Think of your performance on an exam in a class in school based on the following scenarios.

  1. You just listen to the lecture
  2. You listen and take notes
  3. You listen, take notes and then study those notes.
  4. You listen, take notes, study, and then write a paper on what you have learned.
Which scenario will help you internalize and understand the material the best?

The greater the effort, the greater internalization.  Working on the badges will take you through thought processes that will help you to heal more completely and experience a great level of peace in your life.
