Below are a list of readings that each have specific questions to ponder and journal about.  After you have completed the readings and the questions, we invite you to try one of the challenges.  Keep track of your progress and then use the link to post back about your experience either on the forum or in the comment section of the related blog post. As you LEARN, ACT and SHARE your experiences you will find growth and healing in the process. Be patient with yourself.  Move forward at the pace that you and your circumstances allow, but try to do a little everyday and you will find relief from the pain of your grief.

ACTQuestions to ponder and journal about:

1. How can you better act in faith in difficult times to allow God’s help to more fully flow into your life? How can prayer help bring back hope? How does my choice to pray or to focus on despair affect the way I feel?

Challenge: When you feel like grief and despair are pulling you down, make an active decision to pray. Pour out your heart to God and then listen.  Record in your journal how you feel and how this helps.

Note: Peace does not always come instantaneously, sometimes this takes some time on your knees.  Be patient and give yourself several weeks with this experience.

2. When you are experiencing fear, how can you choose to ‘come to yourself?’ What things can you do to demonstrate faith while you are waiting?

3. How can “doubting our doubts before we doubt out faith” help us continue in faith, even when we don’t understand?

Challenge: When you find doubts creeping in, choose to hold fast to your faith and set those doubts aside.  Use prayer and scripture study to help you strengthen your faith.  Look back to past experiences for strengthen.  Journal about your experience
