Acceptance Badge

We invite you to act on the things you have been reading and to discover the difference that acting makes in your healing.

Below are a list of readings that each have specific questions to ponder and journal about.  After you have completed the readings and the questions, we invite you to try one of the challenges.  Keep track of your progress and then use the link to post back about your experience either on the forum or in the comment section of the related blog post. As you LEARN, ACT and SHARE your experiences you will find growth and healing in the process. Be patient with yourself.  Move forward at the pace that you and your circumstances allow, but try to do a little everyday and you will find relief from the pain of your grief.

ACT: Questions to ponder and journal about:

1. How do the two stories about parenting in the blogs help you understand God’s purposes? What experiences with parenting do you have that help you better understand this principle?

Challenge: Writing in your journal about some of your parenting experiences that have taught you this principle.  How does this idea better help you accept God’s will in your life?

ACT: Questions to ponder and journal about:

2. How can you more fully give your will to God? Where do you turn when life gets hard, to God or other things that fail to provide lasting strength? What indicators do you see in your life that you are giving your will to God?  What indicators show that you might be holding back?

Challenge: Pray for help to see ways that you could give your will to God. Make an active choice to change one of those things. Pray for help every morning to make those changes.  In the next month as you are working on this challenge, notice ways you are being enabled to make those changes.
